Miso Soup Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons of miso paste (you can use white or red miso, according to your preference)
- 4 cups of water
- 1 cup of tofu, diced
- 2 tablespoons of nori seaweed, chopped
- 2 tablespoons of green onions, finely sliced
- 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger, grated
- 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
- 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce (optional)
- 1 teaspoon of sesame oil (optional)
Instructions:
- Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a deep pot.
- Sauté the finely chopped fresh ginger and crushed garlic in the oil until fragrant, which should take about 2 minutes.
- Add the cups of water to the pot and bring it to a boil.
- Once the water is boiling, add the diced tofu and chopped nori seaweed. Cook for approximately 5 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, place the miso paste and add a bit of water to it, creating a smooth paste.
- Add the smooth miso paste to the pot and dissolve it in the soup. Stir well.
- If desired, add soy sauce and mix it in.
- Remove the soup from the heat and add the chopped green onions.
- You can optionally drizzle sesame oil on top before serving.
